What You Need:

  • Fabric tape
  • 10–20 minutes

  • Wear Fitted Clothes: A dress shirt and slacks are ideal, or form-fitting clothes like a t-shirt and boxers. No jeans—empty your pockets!

How to Measure:

  • Keep the tape flat and snug, not tight.
  • Measure to the nearest centimeter.
  • Don’t add extra room; we’ll adjust for fit.

All measurements must be taken in CM (centimeter)

1. Chest

Wrap the tape around the chest below the armpits and exhale.
Tip: Ensure the tape rests directly on the nipples and is straight on the back.

2. Waist

Measure around your torso at navel height. Here again: standing comfortably, exhale.

3. Seat

Wrap the tape around the widest part of your buttocks.
Tip: Wear well-fitting pants (avoid jeans) and empty your pockets before measuring.

4. Jacketlength

Measure from the shoulder seam to the thumb joint with your arm straight.
Tip: This measurement can also be taken over a well-fitting jacket.

5. Frontwidth

Measure jacket width horizontally at chest level, below the armpit, to where the arm and chest overlap.

6. Rearwidth

Measure the jacket's rear width from one arm-back crossover to the other at chest level.

7. Armhole

Place the tape close to the body, over the shoulder.

8. Biceps

Measure your dominant arm at its widest point while relaxed.

9. Shoulder

Measure shoulder to shoulder, ensuring both ends are level, for sleeve length.
Tip: Use the outer edge of the shoulder bone as a guide.

10. Sleeve

Start at Step 9, measure to the thumb with arm outstretched. Subtract 2 cm for shorter jacket sleeves.

11. Trouserslength

Wrap the tape around the widest part of your buttocks.
Tip: Wear well-fitting pants (avoid jeans) and empty your pockets before measuring.

12. Waistband

Wear well-fitting pants and measure above the waistband, keeping the tape close to your body.

13. Stride

Run the tape from the front waistband, between the legs, to the back waistband.
Tip: Keep the tape close to the body for this measurement.

14. Thigh

Wrap the tape around the widest part of the thigh, with a finger's gap.

15. Knee

Measure around the widest part of the knee.

16. Ankles

Measure from the heel to the point on the instep where the pant leg rests.
